The start of the path near Somervale Road. This is at the end of the Fosse Way public footpath where the path coems inside the railway fence and raises up to the trackbed level. The public footpath will be widened and made suitable for cyclists, walkers and other users.

 Pitpath  Clearance of the path started in February 2010 before the bird breeding season. Here you see the Pit Path and where the path will continue to Norton Hill. A water main will have to be diverted and lowered to allow a sweeping bend to be put in.
